How do you seek God?

We are told to seek God numerous times in the Bible. But how do we do this? First we must choose to seek Him.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:13 NIV

But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Deuteronomy 4:29 NIV

Once you make that choice, an act is needed to carry out that choice.

Read > Study > Understand > Act / Follow

Read the Bible. Study to understand. Act on what you learn.

There are so many ways to seek God.

• Read – books from the library, books suggested by friends, online books and articles and the Bible
• Church – visit local churches or become more involved in your church
• Bible studies – join small group Bible studies
• Alone time – take a walk, sit outside and just listen, sit in a quiet room

The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks. Lamentations 3:25 NIV
