Have you heard of the Singing Contractors? They are two guys who are contractors and sing. I came across them on You Tube and was so moved by their singing, I searched for all I could find on them. Josh Arnett and Aaron Gray are contractors that started recording acapella songs from their job site. To hear their perfectly harmonized voices, sing my favorite hymns gives me chills. One of the songs I have heard them sing is Because He Lives by Bill and Gloria Gaither. Not only are the words powerful, but their voices blended together are really beautiful.

In 1971, Bill and Gloria Gaither were expecting their third child, Bill Gaither had been ill and the headlines were filled with stories on war, assassinations and drugs.

At times, I have felt so down, I did not see how I would be able to keep going. But I was blessed with the knowledge to know where to receive comfort and guidance. I turned to the Bible.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

Just reading these verses provide comfort to me.

Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Hebrews 7:25 NIV
