Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6 KJV

Mercy: a blessing that is an act of divine favor or compassion; compassionate treatment of those in distress. Merriam Webster Online Dictionary, November 17, 2019

Is there a person in your life you that has hurt you? Are you having trouble forgiving? In my life, I have had trouble forgiving many people that hurt me. As a young adult, I was not equiped to know how to handle situations. And I usually ended up making the incorrect decision.

As I grew spiritually, it became easier for me to forgive. Easier not easy! What helped the most, was saying a positive prayer for the person everytime the situation crept back into my thoughts. Then following it with a prayer for God to help me. It is a skill I am trying to master, but it is taking a lot of prayer and scripture.

How many times have you hurt God? How many times have you hurt your parents by not obeying them? How many times have your children hurt you? Do you hold it against them or do you love them unconditionally?

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
Psalms 103:8 KJV

God loves us unconditionally! God continuously shows us mercy when we do not deserve it. He forgives for any and all sins we commit. What a wonderful Father He is!

O give thanks unto the Lord , for He is good: for his mercy endureth forever.
Psalms 107:1 KJV
